System Integrator: Broadcast Solutions Nordic
Our partner Broadcast Solutions had the opportunity to build the DMC Remote Production Hub in Oslo — a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of the Norwegian capital. This hub was designed for DMC (Distributed Media Center) to manage and control a large number of live sports productions, including football, ice hockey, handball, and many other events across the region.
As part of this prestigious project, we were entrusted with the design, production, and delivery of all control room furniture. The assignment came with both technical and logistical challenges, as the project required tailor-made solutions delivered within a very limited timeframe. Close cooperation with both the system integrator and the end user was essential to meet every functional and aesthetic requirement.
For this facility, DMC selected our signature K-shape desk design, which combines ergonomics, flexibility, and visual harmony. The desks were finished in our standard charcoal desktop color, complemented by natural ash wood edges and tabletop racks. This elegant combination of tones gave the control rooms a modern yet warm and natural appearance, creating an inviting and comfortable working environment for operators and technicians.
The customization process was a true team effort, where our designers collaborated closely with Broadcast Solutions and DMC to refine every detail — from cable management and monitor arrangements to desk proportions and equipment placement.
Installation took place on-site in Oslo, where a team of four technicians assembled and installed the furniture. The process lasted nearly two weeks, during which the team ensured that each element fit precisely into the space and met the technical requirements of the production hub. In total, the facility was equipped with 23 desks, amounting to an impressive 64 meters of total desk length.
Despite the tight deadlines and complex logistics, the project was completed successfully and on time. The final result is a functional, visually striking, and operator-friendly control room environment that perfectly supports DMC’s high demands for remote production and live broadcast management.
